Roberta has been a successful employment and business law attorney for more than 30 years, representing employers and executives in individual, representative, and class action litigation in federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration. In addition, she advises business and executive clients on employment and business law compliance, corporate formation, buying and selling businesses, executive employment agreements, non-compete agreements, trade secret protection, trademark preservation, and employee benefits. Roberta also is an independent workplace investigator, mediator, legal trainer, and expert witness.
Prior to creating and managing her own law firm, Roberta was the Leader of the Labor & Employment Practice Group in the Los Angeles office of the world's largest law firm, where she supervised legal projects in more than 75 countries, and served on the firm's Global Labor Steering Committee and in Commercial Litigation Practice Group. She also gained valuable experience with other large law firms in LA.
Roberta is a frequent author and speaker on employment, business law, data privacy law, cross-border, and international labor practices. She has presented programs throughout the US and the world, including seminars in Hong Kong, Germany, Mexico, England, New York, and as well as numerous seminars for the California State Bar Annual Meetings and Section Education Institutes. She has served in multiple leadership roles with bar associations, including as Chairperson of the California State Bar Solo and Small Firm Practice Section.
For more than a decade, Roberta has been selected as a Southern California “Super Lawyer.” She was honored to be chosen for the "10 Best Employment Law Attorneys" in California by the American Institute of Legal Counsel, 2016-2020. She has served many years as Judge pro tem of the Los Angeles and Ventura County Superior Courts. In addition, for more ten years, Roberta was an adjunct professor, teaching courses in business law, sexual harassment, human resources management, and cyberspace law.
In her leisure time, Roberta is the principal the violist of the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic Orchestra.
